Functional Programming Workshops 2026

This minimalist webpage provides information on FPW26, a series of small colocated events around Functional Programming in 2026 in Paris, France.

Registration

For in-person participants, registration is free but mandatory – to ensure that room limits are respected. The registration deadline was July 24th. For last minute registration requests, please send an email to the local organisers.

We would like to make workshop talks available online as well, on a best-effort basis. Online attendance will be free, and no registration is required. (We use registrations to check in-person room capacity and provision coffee, so please do not register to events you plan to attend online only.)

Schedule

FPW’26 events take place from Monday August 24th to Friday August 28th.

The planned schedule is currently as follows:

The “ICFP” slots correspond to an “ICFP watch party”, a room where it will be possible to watch some of the talks happening at ICFP 2026 in Indianapolis during the same week.

The following events will happen as part of FPW:

the ML-Family Workshop 2026 (ML) (CFP) (Program). The ML workshop takes place across two events, FPW’26 (here) and also ICFP’26.

Lunch

Given that registration is free, lunch is not provided. There are many restaurants in the area, for instance:

Café Circus, a typical Parisian bar, serves lunch and dinner and offers a good quality/price ratio.
Fabbrezza makes good pizza.
La Bonne Heure is a tiny vegan/vegetarian place (making a reservation is highly recommended).
Les Cailloux is an unsophisticated trattoria.
Chez Gladines and Auberge Etchegorry serve hefty French Sud-Ouest cuisine.
Lancetta is a true Italian place; somewhat high-end and expensive.
Chez Nathalie serves French cuisine; somewhat high-end and expensive.
Marso & Co serves French cuisine; leans on the chic and expensive side.
